LDWF agents arrest trio accused of stealing boats

Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agents reportedly arrested three suspects in connection with an investigation into stolen boats.

According to an LDWF news release, agents arrested 18-year-old Triton D. Bercegeay of St. Amant, 18-year-old Keegan K. Perkins of Gonzales and 18-year-old Dawson C. Landry of Napoleonville on two counts of theft.

The suspects were booked into the Livingston Parish Jail, and Bercegeay was additionally cited for hunting deer without a license and tags.

Per the release, agents were alerted Feb. 25 about a stolen vessel near Maurepas off Chinquapin Canal.

The suspects allegedly admitted to stealing two vessels in the early morning hours of Feb. 24, according to the release.
